About Stephen B Marko, MD

Stephen Marko, MD, MPH received his fellowship training in Critical Care at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He earned his Doctor of Medicine as well as his Master of Public Health degrees at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed a residency in emergency medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. He is dual board certified in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Marko joins the Elliot Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit bringing his expertise from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Yale-New Haven Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Medical Centers in both West Haven, CT and White River Junction, VT. In addition, he is a Critical Care Air Transport Team physician in the Vermont Air National Guard.

Dr. Marko is passionate about treating critically ill patients with empathy and humanity during what could be one of the most challenging times in their lives.

When away from the hospital, he enjoys running, gardening and spending time with his wife, dogs and growing family.
