About Meghna V Misra, MD, MS

Dr. Misra graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College. She earned her Doctor of Medicine with Research Honors from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in general surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and her fellowship in pediatric surgery at Oregon Health and Science University. She is board-certified in both pediatric surgery and general surgery. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of the American Pediatric Surgery Association (APSA), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the International Pediatric Endosurgery Group (IPEG).

Dr. Misra comes to Elliot Hospital after spending six years as an attending pediatric surgeon at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. At Connecticut Children’s, she served as the director of the Pectus Program. Dr. Misra is skilled in taking care of a wide range of pediatric surgery ailments – from routine hernias to complex congenital anomalies. However, she is particularly experienced and adept in performing minimally invasive surgery for babies and children of all ages, including neonates. Dr. Misra is thrilled to join the Elliot team and deliver state-of-the-art surgical care to the children of New Hampshire.
