About Rajan Gupta, MD

Dr. Gupta is board-certified in General Surgery and fellowship-trained in Traumatology & Surgical Critical Care. He earned his medical degree at the Boston University School of Medicine, Boston, MA. He then completed his residency in General Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH, and his fellowship training in Traumatology & Surgical Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA. Following completion of his training, he spent the subsequent 22 years in academic medicine directing Level I trauma centers and developing programs in acute care surgery. He has served on numerous regional, national, and international committees and continues to educate surgeons around the world. He joined Elliot Health in 2021 as the director of trauma and acute care surgery.
