N. Jake Summers, DPM, FACFAS is a podiatric foot and ankle surgeon who has served the southern New Hampshire community since 2016. His practice focuses on ankle joint replacements, foot and ankle deformity correction and reconstruction, sports injuries, trauma, and Charcot reconstruction.
Summers was born and raised in Idaho. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University-Idaho and received his podiatric medical degree from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Iowa in 2012. He completed an intensive three-year residency in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery in association with Harvard Medical School at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA, where he also served as chief resident. Upon completion of his residency, Summers completed his advanced specialty training in foot and ankle reconstruction through a fellowship at Coordinated Health Orthopedics in Bethlehem, PA.
He is actively involved in research and has authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles as well as national award-winning manuscripts. He is an active peer reviewer for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and regularly lectures both regionally and nationally. He is involved with education and training at the Mount Auburn Hospital/Harvard Medical School residency program and is on faculty at the New Hampshire Musculoskeletal Institute.
He is board-certified in reconstructive forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
