About Elena K Foster, MD

Dr. Elena Foster is a board-certified vascular surgeon. She is a graduate of the vascular surgery residency program at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and completed her medical and undergraduate studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, graduating with College Honors.

Dr. Foster provides the full spectrum of vascular care including treatments for artery and vein conditions. She has expertise in treatment of carotid arteries to lower risk of stroke, aortic aneurysms and dissections and procedures to improve blood flow in the lower extremities (minimally invasive and open surgery). She has extensive experience with treatment of thoracic outlet syndrome and has a high-volume practice in venous disease including varicose veins, non-thrombotic iliac vein compression (May-Thurner Syndrome), DVT, and pelvic/ovarian vein reflux. She also works with other surgeons to provide spine exposure and facilitate cancer operations.

She is active in multiple professional societies including American Venous and Lymphatic Society, Society for Vascular Surgery, and teaches courses on advanced endovascular techniques. She has authored or co-authored multiple articles and has served as a sub-investigator in multiple clinical trials.
