About Bryan K Houseman, DO

A graduate of Northeastern University with a major in athletic training, Dr. Houseman then received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, he matriculated at WellSpan York Hospital in York, PA, completing a five-year orthopaedic surgery residency at this central Pennsylvania Level I Trauma center.

An interest in trauma surgery developed in college while working as an orthopaedic technician on the trauma service at Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA. This further developed during residency, leading to acceptance at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY, where he further subspecialized in adult and pediatric orthopedic trauma. His pediatric orthopaedic fracture management training was performed at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH, and Norton Children’s Hospital, Louisville, KY, which both serve their communities as pediatric trauma centers. Following fellowship, he and his family have been serving the community of Manchester since 2016 as an addition to Elliot Orthopaedic Surgery Specialists.

Professional interests include complex periarticular fractures, pelvis and acetabular trauma, pediatric orthopaedic trauma, post-traumatic and acute-traumatic joint arthroplasty (replacement), reconstruction following malunion, nonunion, and post-infectious fracture management, and the treatment of the traumatized chest wall.

He is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and is an active member of the Chest Wall Injury Society, The Orthopaedic Trauma Association, The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics.
