About Alpen Nacar, MD

After graduating medical school summa cum laude, Dr. Nacar completed a General Surgery residency at Danbury Hospital/University of Vermont then went on to specialized fellowship training in Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care at the world-renowned Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center at the Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles, California under the mentorship of the legendary Dr. Demetrios Demetriades, Dr. Kenji Inaba and Dr. Matthew Martin.

Dr. Nacar's research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at surgical society meetings worldwide. He has been a speaker at national conferences and invited to lecture for medical students, residents, fellows, and the Los Angeles Police Department.

Dr. Nacar is a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST) and the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST) and is double board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
