Patient Service Representative Program

We are excited to offer several individuals the opportunity to become patient service representatives, in partnership with Manchester Community College. Tuition will be fully covered AND you will be paid while participating in this program. Once you become certified, you will receive a pay increase and be guaranteed full-time employment!

As a member of the Patient Care Services team, the patient service representatives are trained in administrative duties that are required to work effectively and productively in a medical setting. Units of study include, but are not limited to: Medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical law ethics and bioethics, computer skill training, integrated administrative procedures and safety, customer service in a medical industry with an emphasis on exceptional professionalism and a superb work ethic. The seven-week program includes classroom instruction with some practicum hours.

National Certification: Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the National Health Career Association (NHA) Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMMA) national examination

Requirements:

• Documentation of updated immunizations and ability to pass employee health screening
• Commitment to work at Elliot Health System for two years after completing the course
• Flexibility and willingness to commit to a schedule including days, nights, and weekends
