Medical Assistant Program

We are excited to offer several individuals the opportunity to become medical assistants in partnership with Manchester Community College. Tuition will be fully covered AND you will be paid while participating in this program. Once you become certified, you will receive a pay increase and be guaranteed full-time employment!

As a member of the Patient Care Services team, the medical assistant student provides clinical and administrative responsibilities under the supervision of a physician. This program is designed to meet standards set by the Affordable Care Act, the skillset required by regional employers and preparation for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national exam. The 12-week program includes 320 hours of classroom instruction with theory and hands-on lab experiences and a 160-hour practicum at one of our local medical offices.

• Hourly pay during class and clinical hours ($17./hour)

• Hands-on experience and training in a medical office setting

Requirements:

• Documentation of updated immunizations and ability to pass employee health screening
• Commitment to work at Elliot Health System for two years after completing the course
• Flexibility and willingness to commit to a schedule including days, nights, and weekends
