Visiting Nurses Association of Manchester & Southern New Hampshire Announces National Award Recognizing Caregiver Satisfaction

Elliot Health System is pleased to announce the VNA of Manchester & Southern New Hampshire (VNA) is recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a “Superior Performer” for achieving an overall caregiver and family satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients for the 2023 calendar year. This award speaks to the high-quality, compassionate hospice care VNA staff provide to patients and families.

“Since 1897, we have been honored to provide hospice, and home health care, to our community. We are dedicated to compassionate, excellent services for families and their loved ones,” said Elliot Health System Vice President of Home Health and Community Services Rachel Chaddock. “This national recognition reinforces our commitment and is the direct result of the hard work our expert staff brings to our region.”

The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge hospice providers that consistently provide high quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care. The 2023 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall CAHPS Hospice survey satisfaction score for more than 1,750 hospice providers. With one of the largest CAHPS Hospice benchmarks in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made family and caregiver satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the CAHPS Hospice survey.

The VNA’s hospice team works together to address physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of those with a limited life expectancy. Our patients, their families, and caregivers are fully supported with a dedicated team of caregivers that includes our hospice medical director, nurse, social worker, home health aide, spiritual and bereavement counselors, and volunteers.

“SHP is proud to partner with so many organizations that put a high value on providing quality patient care and we are honored to recognize the hard work and dedication of our top-performing customers with the annual SHPBest awards. These organizations deserve to be celebrated for their commitment to achieving new levels of excellence each and every year,” said Kevin Vogel, President of SHP.
