Elliot Maternity Services Recognized as High Performing by U.S. News and World Report

Elliot Health System is pleased to announce that U.S. News and World Report has ranked Elliot Hospital’s maternity services as high performing in its 2025 Best Hospitals for Maternity Care awards. U.S. News and World Report evaluates how well hospitals perform in childbirth using several indicators. The high performing rating indicates that Elliot Hospital is well above average on a range of objective quality measures, such as rates of unexpected complications, C-sections, and breast milk feeding rates.

“We are proud to provide the highest level of maternity care. This recognition demonstrates the excellence and compassion our maternity services team offers,” said Elliot Health System Chief Nursing Officer Martha Dodge. “As a nonprofit health system in Manchester we are dedicated to bringing these high-quality services to all families who need them in our region.”

Elliot Hospital’s maternity services is comprised of specialty trained board-certified physicians and certified nurse midwives, along with nurses who provide new families with compassionate care and exceptional attention. Elliot Hospital delivers the most babies in the region with more than 2,000 babies born each year and is the first hospital in New Hampshire to be recognized by the National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program as a Gold Level Hospital for its commitment to best practices and education on infant safe sleep.
