The Elliot Earns Accreditation for High Standards and Commitment to Excellence in Specialty Pharmacy Services

Elliot Health System is pleased to announce a new accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for the quality of its specialty pharmacy services. Elliot Pharmacy at River’s Edge, in partnership with Shields Health Solutions, the premier specialty pharmacy accelerator in the country, provides our community and patients with medication, education, and support for chronic health conditions in rheumatology, gastroenterology, neurology, pulmonology, oncology, endocrinology and family medicine. Elliot Pharmacy at River’s Edge now ships more than ten specialty medications daily to patients in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

We are committed to ensuring our patients receive the best care possible every step of the way,” said Elliot Manager of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services Bill McCormick. “This accreditation demonstrates our commitment to and excellence in knowledge and competency for managing life-changing specialty medications for our patients. This accreditation was possible due to hundreds of hours of work across departments at Elliot Health System.”

This accreditation reflects The Elliot’s dedication and commitment to standards that meet a higher level of performance and patient care. It confirms that Elliot Pharmacy at River’s Edge has demonstrated high standards in hiring and training staff, best practices in managing specialty medication storage and delivery, and a high degree of accountability in documenting and reporting the work of specialty medication management.
