Congratulations, Adam Waller, DAISY® Award Winner!

Congratulations to Adam Waller for receiving the DAISY® Award for Extraordinary Nurses!

The Elliot is pleased to recognize an outstanding nurse with its first DAISY ® Award! Honorees are nominated by patients or peers to show gratitude for the compassionate care nurses like Adam provide each day.

Adam works in the Intensive Care Unit at Elliot Hospital and goes above and beyond to treat his patients with compassion and kindness. In his nomination for this award, the daughter of a patient said, “You could truly tell he took pride in his job and took the time to listen and attend to not only to my dad’s needs, but the family. My Mom was able to leave the hospital to go home and rest because she knew he was well cared for....He [Adam] anticipated his next need without hesitation or delay. Adam let me sleep by my dad’s side that night in the ICU. I am forever grateful for this.” She continued, “It gives myself and my family a lot of comfort knowing he [her father] had the very best care. I hope Adam knows how much of a positive impact he has had on my family, and how comfortable he made my dad in his final days.”
