Respiratory Care

Respiratory Care

Through the combination of highly skilled clinical providers and the latest technology available, the Respiratory Care Department provides a wide range of therapeutic modalities and services for patients of all ages. The Respiratory Care Department is staffed by respiratory care practitioners who are credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed in the state of New Hampshire.

Inpatient Respiratory Care

The Respiratory Care department provides critical care services to adults, pediatrics, and neonatal populations. Respiratory therapists (RTs) serve as members of a vast multidisciplinary care team in our dedicated pediatric emergency department, pediatric intermediate care, multidisciplinary adult critical care division, and southern New Hampshire’s only level III neonatal intensive care unit. RTs provide advanced care during in-house and interfacility critical care transports, using advanced therapeutic modalities from high frequency ventilators, inhaled nitric oxide, and respiratory driven protocols. Elliot Hospital’s inpatient respiratory care team serves in the forefront of technology, driving evidence-based practice ensuring the right care at the right time for everyone from our tiniest patients through all age populations.
