Make a Gift

Vision, leadership, and commitment for the best possible care

Within the Elliot Hospital Associates, the circle of giving starts with funds raised by the organization every year. There are a variety of programs, services, activities, and events that together result in funds that are then used to support the mission of the Elliot Health System.

Consider making a gift to the Elliot Hospital Associates in honor of someone you admire, in memory of someone you miss and want remembered, or because you know and value the mission of Elliot Hospital Associates

How you are Supporting the Work of the Associates

You are supporting the work of the Associates each time you:

  • Make a purchase at the Elliot gift shop
  • Get a cup of coffee at Dunkin Donuts
  • Buy a NH lottery ticket from the vending machine in the Main Lobby
  • Buy a soda from the vending machines located on several levels of the hospital
  • In 2023, the dollars raised by these services supported the expansion of the Emergency Department and the development of a new Hybrid Operating Room. These are now state-of-the-art facilities to provide top-notch patient care.

In addition, each time a family of a baby born at the Elliot uses the portrait service on Maternity, the Associates receive a contribution from the photographer. Those contributions are then used to gift a sleep sack to each baby born at the Elliot to help insure safe sleep.

When you think about that cup of coffee or a gift shop purchase, know that your support is vital to enhancing the care the Elliot is able to provide patients each and every day.

This is the circle of giving. Thank you for all you do.

Circle of Giving Stories: Global Giving

It seems that “downsizing” is the word of the 21st century so far. It is definitely a shoes 2.jpgworthwhile pursuit for lots of reasons and the Associates have gotten in on the action. Just as in homes, shop storerooms can get cluttered too. In an effort to keep up with inventory and overstock, the Associates Gift Shop has held some sales lately but has also found a means of helping others through donations.

The Associates’ mission statement begins as follows: “Because we care…” And, because we DO care, some Board members were able to devise a creative and generous means of solving a problem. At one time, a considerable number of shoes were ordered for the Associates Gift Shop, but it turned out that they just didn’t suit our climate or clientele. They were lightweight shoes in bright colors that could only be practical in NH for a short period of time. So, they sat unsold, unused, and taking up valuable space. This was also the case with some infant shirts that were delivered unsellable to The Elliot.

Once again referring to our mission to reach out to the community, these Board shoes.jpgmembers had the vision to go well beyond the Manchester community to the village of Ngecha in Kenya, Africa. This occurred through a friendship between Dottie Kelley and Dorcus Muiruri of Hudson, NH. Dorcus is from Kenya and returns there periodically bringing books, clothing, and other items that are scarce, but highly valued there. Dorcus delivered the shoes to some very grateful villagers who sent back a most appreciative “God bless you” message to the Associates. The shirts will travel on one of Dorcus’ future trips.

As the Elliot community supports the Associates, we are able to give back to the hospital. And, in turn, we are able to pay it forward to the less fortunate outside of our immediate surroundings, but within our Circle of Giving.
