Mammography Project

This population includes female EPN patients aged 40 and above. Our overall goal is to improve outreach and care to our EPN patients who are due or overdue for their mammogram.  In order to support our goal, we have initiated a number of programs to identify those patients who may be due for a mammogram. These ongoing efforts include:

  • A monthly report to each practice identifying patients that are due for a mammogram
  • Best Practice Alerts that "pop up" in a patient's electronic medical record if that patient is due for a mammogram

The Elliot Physician Network currently follows and reports on mammograms based on the following age groups and screening intervals

  • Ages 40 through 49 - screening mammogram every 24 months
  • Ages 50 through 75 - screening mammogram every 12 months
  • Ages 76 and above  - screening mammogram every 24 months
