Our Approach

Our treatment philosophy for pediatric rehab services emphasizes collaboration with medical and therapeutic care teams, school-based services as well as early intervention. We utilize an interdisciplinary approach to support outcomes. Pediatric rehabilitation strives to integrate family centered care to support family dynamics and maximize carryover of skills. Family training and preparation for discharge planning is a continuous focus throughout the rehabilitative process.

The Pediatric team utilizes an evidenced based treatment approach for skilled therapy, some of which include:

  • Feeding therapy: infant and sensory based
  • Dysphagia
  • Sensory integrative therapies
  • Neurodevelopmental therapies and neuromotor handling
  • Motor planning disorders
  • Oculomotor and visual therapy (visual motor/visual perceptual)
  • Positioning device assessments
  • Articulation and language therapies
  • Gait and functional mobility training
  • Development and remediation of ADL skills (activities of daily living)
