Chronic Pain Support Group
The support group provides educational programs including guest speakers. Meets 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, September through June, 5 to 6:30 p.m. Meetings are free. Please call 663-2881 with any questions.

• Understanding and Managing Chronic Pain (10 classes)
This program is designed to help people understand their pain while learning the skills
necessary to control it, increase their function, restore hope, and improve their quality
of life.

A group of chronic pain patients attend ten 2-hour weekly educational and skilldevelopment
sessions. There are homework assignments between the weekly
meetings that require daily activities and record keeping. These exercises help
patients master the skills needed to improve their quality of life - despite the
persistence of pain.

There is a $35 charge for the textbook and CD that will be provided to you at the first
