What is Family Practice?
As a family practice office, we provide medical care to all patients from birth to end of life. The advantage of family care is that the entire family can be seen at the same practice so that any comprehensive family issues can be dealt with effectively and efficiently.
What are your office hours?
We see patients Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
What insurances do you accept?
Our practice, as well as all other Elliot Physician Network locations, participates with most insurance companies.
If I were to be admitted to the hospital, where would I go?
Our patients are encouraged to utilize Elliot Hospital in Manchester. As an Elliot Physician Network practice, we feel the partnership with Elliot Hospital allows for a better continuity of care.
Do I need both a Primary Care physician and an OB/GYN?
As primary care physicians our doctors provide all aspects of your preventive healthcare needs including gynecological screenings, ensuring that you are up-to-date with recommended immunizations, monitoring your risk factors for heart disease or cancer and more. However, our physicians do not provide obstetrical care during a pregnancy.
How do I obtain a prescription refill?
Patients may now request prescription refills online by completing the E Request form on our website. Your request will be reviewed by a clinical staff member, then forwarded onto your PCP for approval. Only refills will be accepted; for new prescriptions, please call to see if an appointment is necessary. Some refills may not be automatically approved; instead you will receive a phone call for further follow-up. Please allow 24-48 hours for prescriptions to be printed for pickup or faxed to your pharmacy. To check on the status of your refill please contact your pharmacy.
Is there anyone available for questions or emergencies after hours?
Yes, should you have a medical need, simply contact our office, and you will be connected to a qualified trained nurse who will assess your medical need. A physician will be available for you when needed. We have implemented a state of the art Electronic Medical Record System that enhances the quality of care we are able to provide. Each physician has the ability to review your complete medical history to meet your medical needs.
Who will I see if I am hospitalized or my child is hospitalized?
Pediatric patients will be followed by either their own primary care physician or by one of the other family practice physicians.
Adults may be followed by one of the Elliot family practice physicians or by the Elliot Hospitalist Service. The Hospitalist service is composed of Board Certified Internal Medicine specialists who work closely with your primary care physician to provide the highest standard of care. The Hospitalist service can often provide superior care when minute-to-minute decisions need to be made regarding patient care. In case of a hospital admission, your physician will determine which service is more suitable. This decision is often made on a case-by-case basis. In regards to admission decisions, you are welcome to discuss your preferences or concerns with your primary care physician.
