Elliot Health System Announces Seven New Board Members

Elliot Health System announces the election of seven new members to its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is responsible for providing oversight of decisions that impact the mission of the organization to inspire wellness, heal patients, and serve with compassion.

“Our incoming members bring significant expertise to our Board of Directors. Among this group of accomplished individuals, we welcome physicians, community leaders, business and finance experts, and educators. Collectively, they bring diverse perspectives and experience to assist the Board in fulfilling the mission of the Elliot Health System,” said James J. Tenn, Jr., Esquire, Elliot Health System Board Chair. “I am excited to work closely with these new members, and the full Elliot Health System Board.”

We are pleased to introduce Elliot Hospital System’s new Board of Directors members:

Todd Burdette, MD attended Dartmouth College for his undergraduate degree, then served two years with Teach for America in southern California, teaching 7th grade science. He returned to Dartmouth for medical school and then residency in plastic surgery. Prior to joining the Elliot Health System, Dr. Burdette worked at Concord Hospital from 2010 to 2017. Dr. Burdette’s main clinical pursuits are breast reconstruction and skin cancer reconstruction. He also treats patients with burns, soft tissue tumors, congenital deformities, and injuries to the face and body. Frequently, he collaborates on complex reconstructive cases with surgeons in other specialties. His surgical interests also include cosmetic surgery to rejuvenate the breasts, and lower body.

Joyia Fazelat, MD is an Emergency Medicine physician and has been on staff at The Elliot starting in June 2011. Since 2012, she has worked as one of two primary nocturnists in the Emergency Medicine group. In addition to her clinical role, she has also spent several years on the Emergency Department Quality Review Committee. Dr. Fazelat attended Boston University for medical school, and she completed her residency at Jacobi Medical Center.

Richard Fisher is a result driven sales professional with over 18 years in sales and operations in the supply chain logistics industry where he received numerous awards including Triple Crown and Presidents Club Winner. Richard has continued to give back by providing support to his community. As the former president of Habitat for Humanity in Greater Manchester New Hampshire for 12 years he built five homes for families in need. Richard is currently serving on the Greater Manchester Black Scholarship Foundation which has provided over 350 scholarships to students throughout New Hampshire.

Lara Hanlon, MD was elected president of the Elliot Medical Staff in March 2024. She has been on staff at The Elliot since 2008. She served on the Medical Executive Committee in 2017 to 2019, then again in the vice president role from in 2022 to 2023. She has previously been involved with the Ethics, Laser, and Exceptional Beginnings Committees. She is an obstetrician and gynecologist with Bedford Commons OB/GYN. She also provides High Risk Obstetric care at the Amoskeag Health Center. Prior to joining The Elliot, she worked for several years with the Indian Health Service in Gallup, New Mexico. She has been on several medical mission trips to Guatemala, Rwanda, and Ethiopia. Dr. Hanlon has been awarded the New Hampshire Top Doctor Award for many years and has also been a recipient of the Hero of Compassion Award through the TEARS Foundation. Dr. Hanlon attended Dartmouth College for medical school and completed her residency at University of Rochester Medical Center. She is honored to hold this position with The Elliot because she takes tremendous pride in the Elliot Hospital mission and the exceptional quality of care we provide. 

Andy MacWilliam was a senior partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston, MA until his retirement in June 2023. As a Partner for 26 years (a total of 39 years with the firm), Andy’s experience included leading multi-disciplined teams providing audit, tax, M&A and other professional services to highly endowed and complex health care and higher education clients, Private Equity/Venture Capital owned portfolio companies, High Net Worth individuals and families, and private institutional investors. Andy has frequently been asked to consult for various organizations on strategy, operational improvement, finance organization effectiveness and enterprise-wide risk management, as well as matters involving institutional and board governance and internal controls.

Priscilla Marsicovetere, JD, PA-C, MBA is the Dean of the College of Health & Natural Sciences at Franklin Pierce University (FPU). Immediately prior to this role, she was the director of the Franklin Pierce University PA (Physician Assistant) Program. Her professional career began as a tax attorney for the State of Vermont, followed by private practice in Wills, Trusts and Estates with a firm in Norwich, VT. Her interests eventually led her to a career in medicine, starting at the University of Vermont Post Baccalaureate Pre-Med Program, and culminating with the PA Program at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Most recently, she completed her MBA in Healthcare Administration from FPU. Prior to joining academia, Priscilla was a PA in Colorectal Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. During that time, she was also a consultant on the hospital’s Clinical Ethics Committee, which she continues to serve on as a community member. She currently practices Addiction Medicine in rural New Hampshire and is an accreditation specialist for the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).

Selma Naccach-Hoff is active in a wide range of community activities as a long-time English teacher and Department Head Emerita at Manchester High School Central.  She is a founding member of Reaching Higher NH, a state-wide advocacy group for public education, and sits on the board of UNH Manchester, while also serving as chair of the Manchester Historic Association. Her work in health care extends to her prior service on the board of The Elliot as chair, and also on the boards of the VNA of Manchester and Southern NH and the Mary and John Elliot Charitable Foundation. Selma is a Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude graduate of UNH, and a graduate of Boston College, having earned her master’s with Distinction. She and her husband Paul live in Bedford, where they continue to learn how best to navigate a world of pandemics.
